New Years Eve

Welcoming 2010!
Happy New Year! Earlier in the evening, we went to a dance at the church for the youth. Curt and I were both there to watch over the kids, which was fun. They were all good kids and they danced the night away. At 11:30 we came home where Emily, Matt and McKenna were playing games and hanging out. Emily wasn't old enough for the dance and Matt and McKenna were not interested in the dance. Rachel and her friends Anna and Lexi went to the dance with her. We then celebrated this year by burning 7 dry Christmas trees. It is a bit red neck, but oh so much fun! Emily and Curt gathered them that day and Curt set them in a snow bank. At midnight we started them on fire and warmed ourselved in the blaze. The smoke was huge and black, my poor neighbors, hopefull all asleep and will never know why their homes have a black layer all over them. We all blew horns and welcomed in the new year.

Then we went inside to warm up. The girls got a bit crazy with it being after midnight. They were wrestling, listening to music, and then they thought it would be fun to do "High School Musical" pictures. Basically them jumping in the air while I take pictures. Here are some highlights!

It was a fun night. Curt went to bed around 1 a.m. Matt took McKenna home. I stayed up with the girls' until 2 a.m. and then finally went to bed. Welcome 2010. I am looking forward to a wonderful year!
